Landon's 2 month check up!

Everything went well at the doctor's office today. Landon weighs a whopping 6 lbs. 9 oz!! He is 18 and a half inches long! He is still under the growth chart, but he is not a term baby, so that is where he's supposed to be. We had a couple small concerns. First of all, he has an umbilical hernia. This is not abnormal for a preemie to have. It's not painful, and usually goes away on its own by age 2. If it doesn't go away by then, a surgeon will look at it. The only thing different about him is that he has a profound "outie" and it really sticks out when he's straining or mad. The other issue we had was actually while we were in the doctor's office, the doctor actually got to witness it, he started to choke, it was almost as if he was refluxing. It was pretty bad, he was straining really hard to get something out the back of his throat. She said it was probably a combination of the high palette, congestion and I had given him some formula before we left the house. So, we are scheduling an appointment with an ENT about the high palette. I am just concerned about him reacting to the formula. So, for now we are going to just add the formula to the remaining breast milk that I have and just try to slowly transition him to formula. Just pray that this won't continue to be an issue. Well, that's all I got for now! The doctor will do a weight check at 3 months and then a well check up again at 4 months. Have a great day everyone!! Love ya!!
